First impressions of the Moza WK: the world's first wearable 360 gimbal

Image
Here are hands-on impressions of the Moza WK , the world's first wearable 360 gimbal, and the most compact gimbal available for 360 cameras. The Moza WK is an accessory for the Moza Mini series of gimbals, which includes the Guru 360 gimbal for 360 cameras, the Mini-C gimbal for smartphones, and the Mini-G gimbal for GoPro cameras.  The Moza WK allows you to mount the head of any of the Moza Mini gimbals in a very compact and wearable base. The WK base has its own battery but can also be powered by USB.  It has a 1/4-20 tripod mount at the bottom, but the kit includes a 1/4-20 to GoPro adapter to use it with the many action mounts available. USING THE WK To use the WK, you simply unscrew the handle from your Moza gimbal and attach the head to the WK base.  No tools needed!  Using the WK is just as easy.  To turn on the WK, you simply hold down its power button.  That's all. By default, it will startup in all-lock mode which maintains the camera's direction ...

The Guru Air 360, the first affordable gimbal for professional 360 cameras, and the Moza Wearable Kit, which is the first wearable kit for a 360 gimbal, are now available for preorder from GimbalGuru.com! GURU AIR 360 The Guru Air 360 is the big brother of the popular Guru 360, the first affordable gimbal for 360 cameras (reviewed here).  I saw the Guru Air 360 at NAB Show where GimbalGuru and Gudsen Moza representatives confirmed that it is capable of being used with cameras up to 1.5 kilos (3.3 lbs.), more than enough for professional 360 cameras such as the Z Cam S1 (1.43 lbs.) and small rigs such as the GoPro Omni (2.32 lbs.).  It can also carry the Insta360 Pro (although the Pro has built-in realtime image stabilization). In case you missed it, here's the Guru Air 360 from NAB Show 2017 (please hit the like button): The Guru Air 360 is available for preorder for $699 for delivery in June . WEARABLE KIT The wearable kit is a unique accessory that can be used with any of t...

Crowdfunding campaign for MySight360 will be finishing soon

Image
MySight360, a 4k lifelogging camera with impressive image stabilization , has been successfully funded, and its crowdfunding campaign is concluding in a couple of days.  Here are some updates since I originally posted about MySight360. First, here is a new video showing that MySight360's image stabilization will always keep the recorded video horizontal, even if the camera itself changes direction. Second, there's a new video showing how the MySight360 is used with its app. Third, MySight360 reached its stretch goal, so they are making a waterproof case available for an additional $50.  The case is expected to be rated to 10 meters. MySight360's campaign ends on January 19.   You can still contribute $189 toward a MySight360 (versus the retail price of $299) .   As with any crowdfunding campaign, pls. be aware it's not the same as preorder - most crowdfunding projects get delayed and some are discontinued.  Fortunately, MySight360 has a working demo and seems t...
