CatEyes Cat360 is a 360 camera that can live stream in 4K for four hours ! Cat360 is a 360 camera designed for endurance.  It has a built-in fan and has vents on two sides to allow air to flow through to dissipate heat.  This unique design allows it to operate longer than other 360 cameras. My friends at Rec360.ru tested Cat360's live streaming endurance, and when the Cat360 is plugged into a USB adapter, they found that the Cat360 can live stream in 4K for four hours!  With a battery only (unplugged from an adapter), it can record in 4K for 40 minutes. The fan does create some noise, but the Cat360 has another rare feature for 360 cameras: a 3.5mm microphone input, which allows you to use an external microphone.  The mic input is on the bottom of the camera, so it won't be captured in the video. We've seen the GoPro Odyssey , its 16-camera 3D 360 rig implementation of Google Jump.  We've also seen the GoPro Omni , its 6-camera 360 rig with 8k resolution.  GoPro has another 360 camera - one that is much more compact and unlike the GoPro rigs, does not require stitching, and is indeed capable of livestreaming in 360.  Hit the jump for the details. Would you be interested in an extremely compact, fully spherical, waterproof 360-degree camera with live streaming?  Did I mention it's only $199?  Check out the Nico 360 ! ​ The Nico360 is claimed to be the smallest fully spherical 360-degree camera.  It competes for that title with 360 cameras such as the Luna and Nikon Keymission, but it's definitely one of the smallest, if not the smallest I've seen. Chinese companies have been following the VR trend and producing 360-degree cameras of their own.  One of the new VR/360 products from China is the Eyesir, a camera that is claimed to have 4k live streaming capability: Eyesir is a fully spherical 360 camera with 4k 30fps video, with 4k live streaming capabilities.  The Eyesir stitches in realtime, unlike some cameras such as the Samsung Gear 360, which must be stitched during postprocessing. It has a claimed 180 minutes battery duration, although it is not clear whether overheating would limit the recording time. Its manufacturer Perfant claims that the Eyesir can do 4k VR live streaming "without connection to PC." Here is a link to the official page.
