You, too, can build a broadcast-quality 3D 360 camera


Facebook posted the instructions for its Surround 360 camera, an open-source 3D 360 camera with up to 8k resolution.




The parts cost around $30,000, and took an engineer 4 hours to build.  Is it worth it?  Here is a sample video from the Surround.
