The videos also show the effect of the Nano's calibration. The Nano's stitching on one side wasn't perfect, but it was remedied by the calibration. In the first set of videos, I didn't calibrate the stitching on the Nano. The children's slide shows a slight stitching error. In the second set, I calibrated the Nano. The slide has no stitching error.
Here's how they look in a headset (Samsung Gear VR). In this case, I copied the video into my Samsung S6 then played them with MoonPlayer. Here are snapshots showing how they look in the headset (click on them to see the full size):

In my opinion, the Nano did better than I expected. To be honest, I had a little difficulty picking out the Nano from the first set of snapshots because it showed almost as much detail as the Gear 360. Considering that the Nano is only $199, while the Samsung Gear 360 and Ricoh Theta S are around $350 each, the Nano shows very good value for its video quality, not to mention its other capabilities such as wireless livestreaming.
Realtime stabilization has now been added Insta360 Air, the first 360 camera for Android phones. Here's a demo and a tutorial for upgrading the firmware required this feature. When connecting the Insta360 Air to your phone, connect the Air directly and not through an adapter. This will minimize the chance for errors. After installing, you can go back to using the adapter. 2. You'll be inserting and reinserting the Air a lot. To avoid smearing the lens, you can put the Insta360 Air in its silicone rubber case upside down. You'll still be able to insert it into your phone. Here are the steps. 1. CatEyes Cat360 is a 360 camera that can live stream in 4K for four hours ! Cat360 is a 360 camera designed for endurance. It has a built-in fan and has vents on two sides to allow air to flow through to dissipate heat. This unique design allows it to operate longer than other 360 cameras. My friends at Rec360.ru tested Cat360's live streaming endurance, and when the Cat360 is plugged into a USB adapter, they found that the Cat360 can live stream in 4K for four hours! With a battery only (unplugged from an adapter), it can record in 4K for 40 minutes. The fan does create some noise, but the Cat360 has another rare feature for 360 cameras: a 3.5mm microphone input, which allows you to use an external microphone. The mic input is on the bottom of the camera, so it won't be captured in the video. At CES 2017, Ricoh demonstrated their recently-announced Ricoh R livestreaming camera . Here are my hands-on impressions. The Ricoh R looked a little larger than the Ricoh Theta S and its grooves gave it a very industrial look, in sharp contrast to the Theta's sleek outline. The other significant difference between the Ricoh R and the Theta is that the Ricoh R has no internal battery and must be powered by an adapter, making it unsuitable for use by most consumers and limiting it primarily to professional or industrial use. The Ricoh R performed pretty much as advertised. They had a couple of Ricoh R cameras showing a livestream and it was stitched smoothly. In contrast, the Theta S requires its videos to be stitched on the phone or desktop app. There was a lag of a few seconds from the time of capture to the time it is shown on the screen, although I wasn't sure how much of that lag is due to the Theta's stitching or from YouTube.
