Drone Volt Janus VR Bot is a 360 camera rig with remote control dolly


DroneVolt's Janus VR Bot is a 360 camera rig on a remote control dolly.  I don't know much about it except that it seems to use a Freedom 360 rig which uses six GoPro cameras for up to 8K resolution.



B&H Photo has the Janus VR Bot listed at $14,350 without any specifications yet.  I'm not sure if the VR Bot includes the Freedom 360 rig and/or the GoPros for it.

In the meantime, B&H also has the Janus 360 drone for two Freedom 360 rigs, for about the same price (the price excludes the cost of the Freedom 360 rigs)  You can check out a sample video from the Janus 360 in this previous post.

Insta360 Air realtime stabilization demo and firmware upgrade tutorial

Realtime stabilization has now been added Insta360 Air, the first 360 camera for Android phones.  Here's a demo and a tutorial for upgrading the firmware required this feature. Here's the demo video and tutorial: HOW TO INSTALL Before you begin, here are two tips for installation: 1. When connecting the Insta360 Air to your phone, connect the Air directly and not through an adapter.  This will minimize the chance for errors. After installing, you can go back to using the adapter. 2. You'll be inserting and reinserting the Air a lot.  To avoid smearing the lens, you can put the Insta360 Air in its silicone rubber case upside down.  You'll still be able to insert it into your phone. Cat360 can live stream wirelessly in 4k for four hours, without a phone

CatEyes Cat360 is a 360 camera that can live stream in 4K for four hours ! Cat360 is a 360 camera designed for endurance.  It has a built-in fan and has vents on two sides to allow air to flow through to dissipate heat.  This unique design allows it to operate longer than other 360 cameras. My friends at Rec360.ru tested Cat360's live streaming endurance, and when the Cat360 is plugged into a USB adapter, they found that the Cat360 can live stream in 4K for four hours!  With a battery only (unplugged from an adapter), it can record in 4K for 40 minutes. The fan does create some noise, but the Cat360 has another rare feature for 360 cameras: a 3.5mm microphone input, which allows you to use an external microphone.  The mic input is on the bottom of the camera, so it won't be captured in the video.
